Montana Tech Regional Science & Engineering Fair

     As you all move through your school years, we are gearing up for the 2023 Montana Tech Regional Science and Engineering Fair. We intend to hold this event live on March 2nd, 2023.
Montana Tech understands your challenges working with young scientists during the pandemic, and we remain committed to assisting you in guiding your students through the research and dissemination process.
Know that we are here as a resource for you throughout the year. Look for email updates, and please contact us if your students need equipment, guidance, or mentors to successfully complete projects.
We will continue to use our email account sciencefair@mtech.edu to distribute all our correspondence moving forward. Please send us an email so we know who you are and add us to your contacts.

REMINDERS:

We provide a SRC/IRB Prior Approval committee for the Division I – 9th – 12th
Be sure to confirm if your paperwork needs to be approved prior to beginning experimentation!
 We host a High School teacher meeting the morning of the Division I – 9th – 12th

For both Science Fair and Symposium there will be one hashtag so you the teachers, students and parents can see what other young scientists are doing across the state and region.  Encourage your students to use the hashtag #MTTechScience23 this year as they work on their projects.

Division I – High School Science Fair – Thursday, March 2, 2023

The deadlines for registering/completing paperwork are;

Division I Science Fair – Midnight, February 24, 2023

Services provided:

  • Outreach presentations to area elementary schools
  • Follow up competitions/”ed”ventures for middle and high school participants
  • Volunteer judges at area schools
  • Quality judging experience at MT Tech
  • More prizes and cash awards than any other fair in MT
  • Peer and public recognition that stimulates interest in inquiry based learning
